PPROM Survivor: Hayden

@ Valour Foundation

" I had a sch at 7 weeks and that is what the doctors suspect caused pprom. I had a small leak but didn’t realize what it was at the time. Pprom was confirmed 3 weeks later and I doctors advised me to end my pregnancy because they were convinced our baby wouldn’t make it. They said in the small chance she did survive she had a 10% chance of being (in their words) “normal.” I was put on at home bed rest and resealed a couple months later. I are a high protein diet, drank a ton of water, added pure cranberry juice to my water a couple times a day, and kept a journal to keep myself from going crazy. I ended up going into labor due to my placenta starting to detach. She was small, healthy, and perfect. Advice - never give up hope, Get a support group (THIS ONE!), don’t be afraid to call your doctor ANYTIME you have questions or concerns! " - Deanna Allar
