PPROM Survivor: Colton Michael

"This is Colton Michael. I pprom'd with him at 21 weeks and he was born at 33+6. I stayed in the hospital for 3 months while I was pregnant and had to leave my daughter with my mom for that time. He was born with sepsis, jaundice, couldn't keep his body temp up, had to learn to eat, was very briefly incubated. He was 4lbs 5oz and 11in long. Now at 16 months he is healthy as can be and huge! 99th percentile for weight and 94th for height. And his sissy that had to wait so long for us to be with her has been obsessed with him since day one Never give up hope. We sacrifice so much in the name of hope. When doctors pressure us time and time again to terminate we dont lose hope. Our babies are wanted. Whether they are viable or not, they are wanted. So we fight for hope...hope is everything." - Olivia Muriel Schenk
